2020 Bagnasco & Casati OM-18
This 2020 Bagnasco & Casati OM-18 shade top that we just finished working on is now up for sale by its owner. We don’t think you’ll find a sweeter sounding or easier playing guitar.
Originally shipped to Korea in 2020 to its first owner, it’s now back with us on consignment. This guitar has been played—and it shows, in the best possible way. Over the years, it has developed a beautifully clear, sweet voice. It also bears the marks of its journey: a collection of small dings, scratches, and some incredibly cool-looking fine finish checking that give it a genuine vintage vibe.
It came back to us for localized touch-up to the finish—something that took time and care to pull off properly. There was no way we were going to mess with that worn-in, great sounding, character-filled top finish. The patina, crazing, and every little mark were simply too good to get rid of. It wasn’t easy, but it was absolutely worth preserving.
Moon logged and air dried European red spruce (Piecea Abies) top, Honduran mahogany back, sides and neck, ebony fingerboard and ebony belly bridge with through saddle. 1 3/4″ ebony nut, 2 3/8″ string spacing at the saddle. Maple V neck rod and T-frets. Neck is super stable and the action is low and very buttery, but can be adjusted at player’s preference. Featherweight instrument.
We truly can’t think of any better deal today on the market on a great sounding and playing OM-18.
Quite attractively priced at 7.300 Euros with a Calton case, or 6.500 Euros without case
(we can source and sell a quality case separately if needed).
