1926 Martin Style B mandolin
This is true Martin quality from the Golden Era. This little mandolin in beautiful original condition was built in the Nazareth North St. Factory, by the same people who were crafting amazing guitars, using the same quality wood and same attention to detail. And it shows! The Adirondack spruce top and premium quality, quarter sawn Brazilian rosewood back and sides are something to behold. The overall craftsmanship is immaculate. Wooden bindings and purflings, inlaid celluloid pickguard, exquisitely engraved tuning machine plates. This beguiling instrument is a joy to play. Not a Gibson by a long shot: it’s got its own voice and there’s no substitute for a Gibson mandolin when you need one. But there’s a lot more to the world of mandolins in folk and old time music than Gibson A’s and F’s. This Martin would make a lovely addition to any mandolin player collection. Closer in sound to a classic mandolin, it sings with an airy, dry tone that will make you want to play melodies just to enjoy its voice. Comes with a hard shell case.
