1955 Gibson J-45

SOLD | 1955 Gibson J-45. If you like Bruce Springsteen and the Nebraska album, this is your guitar. Quintessential ’50s J-45 with great tone, excellent playability and quite the looks. We reset the neck, installed new frets (compression fret job) and replaced the original but shaved bridge with an exact replica of old Brazilian rosewood, installed a new bone bridge saddle and did a complete setup. The finish is all original and quite attractive, if you ask us. The neck heel had some overspray that was already there when we got the guitar, most possibly to cover some scar or maybe a strap button hole, who knows.  The sound of this guitar is loud and articulate, with a very satisfying low E string and clarity to spare. Sounds like a good J-45 should. Comes with a recent hard shell case.
